Comparative Analysis of Artificial Intelligence Integration in the Educational Systems of China and the United States (2025)

چکیده :

Between 2023 and 2025, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) led to two distinct models of educational integration, most notably in the United States and China. This study provides a comparative analysis of AI deployment in the two systems using secondary data and a mixed-method approach. Findings show that the United States follows a human-centered and non-mandatory model focused on transparency, ethics, and teacher empowerment, while China adopts a centralized and compulsory strategy that embeds AI across all levels of schooling and has contributed to reducing educational inequalities, especially in rural areas. A five-dimensional framework—governance, technologies, curriculum integration, learning outcomes, and privacy—reveals that both countries have advanced significantly but in different directions. The study concludes that combining the innovation- and ethics-oriented approach of the United States with China’s scalable and equity-driven model may offer an effective framework for future AI-in-education policymaking.
