Evaluating Public Adoption of Technology Enhanced Learning: A Case Study from Shiraz University Science Night

چکیده :

Technology-enhanced learning is revolutionizing the educational landscape with its new approaches in using new technologies and engaging a wide range of audiences. This study assesses the effects of Education 4.0 concepts at Shiraz University Science Night, with a focus on immersive technologies and interactive learning methods. The event attracted around 13,000 people of all ages and included more than 26 booths from different university disciplines. The results from systematic observations and structured interviews show that the booths using enhanced electronic equipment, face-to-face active learning, challenge-based learning, and hands-on activities had the highest levels of engagement, especially among younger people. On the other hand, booths with static displays found it difficult to draw attention, underscoring the necessity of technology-integration and interactive strategies. These results highlight how crucial is to plan educational activities that maximize engagement and learning outcomes by combining technological advancement with active participation at large-scale events.
