The Student-Centered Approach - A Journey from Perspective to Culture

چکیده :

This paper outlines a holistic approach to student-centredness in higher education, which takes into account aspects such as quality-oriented academic teaching, autonomy and freedom in higher education teaching, and consideration of student diversity. A framework is proposed for introducing strategic and operational approaches to student-centredness at all levels of higher education, including the University, Study Programme, Module and Course. Examples are provided of how student-centredness can be integrated into processes of programme development and quality management. The approach presented in this paper has the potential to create a culture of student-centredness and thereby facilitate sustainable change in teaching practice.
